Full Vehicle Wrap Case Study – Paul Turner Signwriters Ltd, Leeds
At Paul Turner Signwriters Ltd, we specialise in large-scale vehicle wrapping, fleet branding, and commercial graphics across Leeds and Yorkshire.
One of our most notable recent projects involved a full wrap for HK Horses, transforming a large Oakley Scania horsebox and trailer from its original blue finish into a sleek gloss grey colour change, designed to match the rest of the fleet.
Completed at our Garforth workshop near Leeds in March 2026, this installation is one of the largest projects our team has undertaken.

Original Vehicle Condition and Project Preparation
The horsebox and trailer were originally finished in blue. After HK Horses contacted us, our team attended site to measure the vehicle accurately, assess panel conditions, and confirm colour samples to ensure a seamless match with existing fleet vehicles.
Project Objectives
The main goals for this project were:
- Create a consistent fleet appearance
- Deliver a high-standard, full vehicle wrap
- Ensure a durable finish suitable for frequent travel
Materials Used
For this project we used premium wrapping materials to ensure durability and a high quality finish.
- Vinyl: 3M 2080 Gloss Storm Grey
- Supplier: William Smith Group 1832
- Total Material Used: 160 metres
3M 2080 wrap film offers excellent durability, colour consistency, and a high-gloss finish, making it ideal for large commercial vehicles.
Measuring & Preparation
Our team’s site visit was essential for accurate measuring and planning due to the vehicle’s size. Each panel was assessed, material requirements calculated, and the surface thoroughly prepared before installation.
As the vehicle was over 10 years old, additional preparation included:
- Panel repairs
- Removal of fixtures and fittings
- Deep cleaning and surface preparation
Installation Process
Our technicians installed the wrap using expert techniques designed for large vehicle applications.
Each section was wrapped individually to ensure precision and consistency, including:
- Cab
- Main body
- Steps
- Storage compartments
- Pull-out sections
- Trailer panels
Using 3M air-release technology, our installers achieved a smooth, bubble-free finish across all surfaces.
Completed Result
The finished horsebox and trailer now present a clean, modern appearance that aligns perfectly with the HK Horses brand.
The gloss grey finish not only enhances the overall look but also provides a durable surface built to withstand regular use across the UK.
